Super Mario Galaxy

super_mario_galaxy So, here is a typical day at the Wizards Lair…

I drive into the driveway to be met by the kids. I park the car, open the door and the pleading starts. “Dad… Mom said, if you want to… if you’re in the mood… later.. after you relax, you can play the Wii.” Haha… Mom said I could play? Pretty nice of her, eh?

You see, the kids all love watching me play the Wii, Super Mario Galaxy. Sure, they all like playing, too, but the 2 year olds (twins) can’t do much, and when they watch, it’s like watching a movie for them. And the 4 year old?? Geez… he’s a fanatic. And he can’t wait till I get home so I can turn it on for them.

“Dad… All you need is 2 more starbits and can go save Princess Peach.” This isn’t exactly true, but it’s as much as he can remember that eventually when I get enough starbits, we can go save Princess Peach.

One of the 2 year olds says “…play Mamio Axey…” as he runs up to me with one of the controllers. I’ll let them collect the starbits as I’m playing, but it has to be controlled or they just shoot them all away as they pick them up.

4 year old again says to me once the game is started “Dad… Go to the fish one. There is still a star there. I saw it. Go to the fish one.” Geez… my game, my character and he is directing me where to go to play.

(When entering the “kitchen” instead of the “engine room…) DAD! It’s not in here. You have to go to the bedroom. Then… “Dad. I think you need to go to the one with the penguins. But… it’s kinda hard, but there’s still a star there.” I ask him where that one is and he says “Dad, it’s in the Engine Room. I know.. I saw it there.” Of course, he’s right, you know…

And, it’s pretty funny when I fall over the edge somewhere, they all say, in unison, “Ohhh, Nooo!….

Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii. Fun game! I love it, and the kids can’t get enough…
